Las Vegas Baby!

Back in November, we took a trip down to Las Vegas for our Birthdays. We had a great time together. It was kind of a "last" trip alone before the babies arrive next year. We got a great discount from a friend at the Springhill Marriott just off of the strip. (You know who you are friend -- again, thank you!)

We left home Wednesday November 10th and drove down. We arrived in Vegas about 3:30pm. We got ready, and then went and found parking at the Bellagio, took a look at the botanical gardens and then we headed down the strip to the Mirage where they have Siegfried and Roy's secret garden and dolphin habitat. Now... for those of you who know me, I LOVE DOLPHINS! I could have sat and watched them all night long! We were kind of rushed to see everything in there cause they were closing, but we got to see some great tricks from the dolphins!

So Pretty, I just love them!

I still think it would be fun to be a dolphin trainer!
After the Mirage we walked around a bit through Caesar's Palace and a few other places, just site seeing. Then we went back to our hotel room to relax. Our hotel room had a balcony at the very top of the building which had great views!
The next day we did LOTS of walking and site seeing! We went to Excalibur, It's been a while since we've been there! We also went and saw several other hotels along the way and the exhibits and sites they have to offer.

We stopped at the MGM, and watched the lions. They were sleeping and the trainers, were just sitting there. I thought it was really cool!
They had baby cubs too! So cute!
We also went to M&M World

We went to the Coke Factory too which is hooked to M&M World. We did the coke tastes from around the world. Now, at this time I was 8 weeks pregnant. Luckily the nausea didn't hit me until the next week when we got home, but some of those coke flavors made me want to THROW UP! Some were ok, but I couldn't handle some of them. One of them even almost made Justin want to throw up. Luckily I made him try that one first, so I didn't even have to try it.
Later Thursday night we went and saw Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian. HOLY COW! That show was fantastic. I recommend it to anyone going to Vegas. We got a great deal on the seats so we couldn't pass it up (Again, thank you to our friend for those too!) Even Justin liked the show! He hates musicals. But the special effects were the best! We loved the show!
Friday we went swimming at the hotel, and then we got ready for the day and went out for some more sight seeing. One of the places we went was Madame Tussades Wax Museum. That place was really cool! We had a great time taking pictures there! Here are some of them:
Brad Pitt

Matthew Mcconoghey... mmm, mmm Good!

Justin met Brittany Spears

And Arnold Shwartzenager

And Snoop Dog!

The wax museum was really cool! After the wax museum we went to Justin's aunts who lives just 15 minutes away from the strip. It was his cousins birthday so we had a BBQ and then had some cake and icecream. It was really good to visit with them!
On Saturday, we were running out of things to do. I think we finished some last minute things we wanted to do on the strip like watching the pirate show at Treasure Island, and little things like that. We also got tickets from Justin's aunt to go see a comedian at the Fitz. It was a funny show! After the show we went to Freemont street. It was SO cool! I've never seen it! They do some awesome things, and the light show they do in the dome is really cool!

This spray paint artist was AWESOME!

We had a great time in Vegas! I'm glad we got the chance to go down there!

I'm still here!

Hey everyone!

I know, it's been FOREVER. I'm sorry. Life just gets so busy sometimes! Here's an update of the last month!

First, I started a new job! I now work for Prime Alliance Bank in Bountiful. It's so great because I am 5 minutes away from home. Instead of driving 15 minutes and filling up on gas every week and a half, I drive 5 minutes and fill up ever two and a half weeks. I love the people I work with. They are all so great and easy to get along with. They've been so welcoming. I work in the Credit Administration department doing the payoffs & reconveyances, appraisals, and loan bookings. I love working in that department. I'm learning so many new things, which I love. I think it will be great having more knowledge of what goes on in different departments at the bank.

Next, I've been busy making some cakes! I have made 3 in the last few weeks! I'll post them on my cake blog, so go see them!

Then, my sister just came into town! She got here on Saturday and will be here till next Sunday! It's so great having them here, I've missed them SO much. My nephew has grown up so much, it's unbelievable! He knows his letters, numbers, colors and is even potty trained! My sister is such a good mom, I know who to turn to when we have our own little munchkins(No, not yet)!

On Sunday we celebrated my mom and brother-in-laws birthdays! My mom's was on the 10th and Cody's is on the 18th. We had a yummy steak dinner, and then the grandparents came over and we had cake and ice cream!

A tote for my mom to put her jewelry making supplies in!

Pictures of our family pictures that we had done in AZ!

Lincoln blew out the candles for his dad!

I colored the inside of the cake green, it's my moms favorite color.
Then we just hung out! My little nephew is so outgoing, he runs around the house calling out anyones name that will play with them "Emily, Kyle, Justin, Papa!" It's so fun! My nephew has become obsessed with a game on my dads iPod. I don't know what it's even called, but we call it "Go Fast" Its a traffic car game where you try to get as many cars through the intersection without them crashing. Lincoln will sit and play it for HOURS! He sits and goes "Go fast, Go fast, Oh no, watch out!" then he'll crash and be like "OOOHHH, Crash the blue." That means that the blue car crashed, or whatever! Here's a video of him and kyle playing with the iPods. My brother taught him the pound it and blow it up! I love it! And he's catching on to "I love you"

And now...

PRESENTING!

Birthday Fun!!

Wow, Sorry I am so behind! We've been so busy and I just haven't really found time to post about our birthdays and other festivities lately.

I had a great birthday this year. Justin did as well. Mine is on the 7th and Justin's is on the 16th.

On Friday the 6th we had tickets to the SKILLET concert! It was SO much fun. I bought these tickets for Justin for our Sealing anniversary in September. It just happen to be the day before my birthday. But we had so much fun, some friends joined us and bought tickets as well, which made it more fun because there were more people.

Bret, Ryan, Kyle and Shari came along!
We were so hyper on the way down to SaltAir!

The next day was my birthday. Justin got me these gorgeous flowers :) He spoils me ever year with them! He also bought me a purse, I picked it out but it was still a birthday gift from him.
Later that afternoon we went over to my parents house. Dad made crepes, MMM! We also had sandwiches for lunch. Then mom gives me a small gift to open. Inside was a card that had a cute poem that let me to the chairs in their front room. Behind the chairs was a HUGE box. It was way heavy, but i pulled it out and tore off the wrapping paper. I couldn't help but scream! I was so excited! My parents bought me a Kitchen Aid mixer. They knew I have been wanting one but i never really thought I'd get one because of the cost of them. But they surprised me and got this for my birthday and Christmas! I can't thank them enough!!
I love it! It has been such a huge help making cakes! Thanks mom and dad! I love you guys!
That day I made these cupcakes for a dinner we were going to that night. We decided to celebrate all the November birthdays at one dinner. So we did it on my birthday at the Spaghetti Factory! My favorite place!! I made these cupcakes for Shari, Mackenzie, Jennifer and Justin whose birthday's are this month also.Party Hats!I got these cute boxes to put them in!Justin's cupcakes. I had to make them somewhat boy-ish.The whole group! If this picture wasn't blurry it would be so cute!I wore a white shirt. White shirt + Marinara Sauce = a mess! I always spill anyway!Ryan & Shari! They're so cute. But i think i ruined the cuteness :)After dinner we went to our house and our friends all went in on gifts for us so the birthday kids opened them!Hmm, Marshmallows with a Santa on it??? Gee thanks! I thought they had given me supplies for smores! lolJustin got a really nice Fossil wallet!
It turned out to be a Forever Young Shoes gift card! YAY!Justin, Lindsay & Leeann!
Jen, Chad & JustinThe girls!!
I will post pictures of Justin's birthday soon. It has been hard without a camera. Ever since I went to my cousins baby shower and left my camera there I have had to borrow my mom and dads or someone else has been taking the pictures. So that has been part of they delay. Sorry!
Check back for more!
