Twilight!!

I love Twilight. Although i have not finished the book yet (I know, what a shame) I cannot wait for this movie to come out. Hopefully it doesn't ruin the book, because some movies just do that. Someday i will post the pictures of the shirt i made for this movie! Find out what character you are from Twilight! Just click on the link below the picture!

I'm a Esme! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!

You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great
importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and appreciate the kind way you always handle things.

The dreaded question:

HELP! Last night me and my husband spent an hour or more trying to decide what to cook for dinner. We all know that we could have done the simple frozen pizza, spaghetti, rice-a-roni or frozen chicken strips... but those thing have become boring to us. We wanted something more! We went through our cupboards and tried to come up with something that just sounded delicious when we said it. Unfortunately, we found nothing and went out. I hate going out but then again, i am not a good cook. Okay, maybe i am but i don't know WHAT to cook. I want to come home at night and have something on my mind that i can cook and know that Justin will eat it when it is ready. Ya know, like when we all use to live at home and we'd be downstairs watching a movie and then mom or dad would call down the stairs "Come up for dinner" Then we'd all sit around the table and without a fuss we'd eat whatever they put in front of us (Unless, for me, it was casserole - YUCK)

Everyone tells me to get a crock pot... Well we have one. We've had one since the day we got married. It is a VERY nice crock pot but it hasn't even come out of the box. I know it is a shame but i just don't know HOW or WHAT to cook. What crock pot recipes do you have?

So I am here today to ask for your input. Help me out, and leave me some good recipes :)
This would be awesome because then we would save money instead of going out!

I've got a pretty good list of stuff I could make. I just need to learn how. Like my mother-in-laws meatloaf. MMM! We beg for this every Sunday, although we don't always get it. I never liked meatloaf when dad made it - No offense dad. But Cindy's doesn't have onions and she puts Heinz 57 in it. Oh it is good stuff!!
Thanks for your comments (If you do leave one I would appreciate it) Hopefully i can become a better cook and actually have ideas of what to make for dinner instead of spending an hour deciding whether to cook something or go out. Feel free to leave a huge long list (SIS!!!), i don't care - I'd actually love it :)

I know this is tacky but i need the help!! Thanks a bunch!

P.S. Emily doesn't like tomatoes, Justin doesn't like onions... although the flavor of onions is fine.

Dessert!

I don't know why... but lately recipes are very intriguing to me. I browse around the Internet and various blogs and find recipes that look delicious and that i want to try out - SOON! I hope you enjoy these as much as i will :)

Chocolate and peanut butter are like two peas in a pod. They were meant to be together! Be warned, I can assure you there is zero nutritional content in these bad boys.

Peanut Butter Bars
1 c. butter
1 c peanut butter
2 c graham cracker crumbs
2 c powdered sugar
1 1/2 c semi-sweet choco chips
4 Tbsp peanut butter

Directions: Melt butter & 1 c peanut butter. Add graham cracker crumbs and powdered sugar. Mix until well blended. Press into ungreased 9"x 13" pan. Melt choco chips with 4 Tbsp peanut butter (either on stove top or microwave) and spread on top of graham cracker mixture. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

This is not the real name of the cookies but it SHOULD be!

Holycraptheseareamazing Cookies
Ingredients:
(Makes about 3 dozen cookies)
...
1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 jar (18 oz ounce) peanut butter, crunchy or smooth (I like creamy.)
6 cups corn flakes
3 oz good quality chocolate of your choice (I used
Scharffen Berger Semisweet 62%.)
...
Preparation:
...Combine sugar and corn syrup in a medium saucepan. Place over medium-high heat and stir until the mixture comes to a full boil.
...
Remove from heat and stir in the whole jar of peanut butter. Mix well.
...
Add corn flakes to a large bowl. Pour peanut butter mixture over corn flakes and mix well, taking care to coat all of the corn flakes.
...
With a tablespoon or cookie scoop, scoop out and form into 1-2 inch balls, depending on your preference, and place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
...
Put the chocolate in a small bowl and melt in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Stir until smooth.
...
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cookies.
...
When cooled, eat these cookies with reckless abandon. Be careful, though. We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt!
...
Enjoy!

Addictions!

White Chocolate Popcorn (A.K.A. Popcorn Crack)

1 package microwave popcorn
1/2 bag chopped walnuts
2 snack bags of M&M’s
1 bag mini-marshmallows
4 squares white almond bark (or 1 bag of white chocolate chips + 1 tbsp Crisco)

Pop the popcorn as directed on the package. Put it in a very, very large bowl {the largest bowl you own} and try to eliminate all the un-popped kernels. Mix everything except the chocolate into the large bowl. Next, coarsely chop the almond bark squares and melt them , or chocolate + Crisco) in the microwave. Melt in a glass bowl, in 45-second intervals, as to not burn the chocolate. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the marshmallow/popcorn mixture. Stir continuously with a plastic spoon until everything is coated with chocolate. Turn it all out onto a lightly greased cookie sheet to cool. Add any desired candies or even crasins are delicious!

Home Made Lollipops

A lady that I work with has been bringing in homemade suckers. They are TOTALLY delicious. Better then store bought suckers. I want to make suckers so bad now! So i've been looking all over the internet for these metal molds. I hear the metal molds are better to use. Man are they hard to find! But i'm determined, the nephews will absolutely love them - although shawn might not be able to fit his adorable little mouth over them cause they are pretty big :)

Supplies & Prep:

You need to get everything ready before you start, because once your sucker liquid is hot and ready, things get moving fast. You need, molds, sticks, flavoring, food coloring, sauce pan, candy thermometer, twist ties, and small wrappers.

You can put the molds on wax paper, aluminum foil or the bottom of a jelly roll cookie sheet. Spray surface with pam. Line up sucker molds and spray with pam also. Insert sucker sticks.

Ingredients:
2 cups Sugar
2/3 cups Karo Syrup
3/4 cups water
2 drams of Flavor
Food Coloring

Boil Sugar, Karo & Water to 310 degrees - add coloring at about 250 degrees

Take off heat and add flavoring. You can add 1 dram or 2 drams (the flavoring bottles comes in drams) - your choice but don't ever add 2 drams if you are making cinnimon flavored suckers.

Pour into molds and let set for 30+ minutes. Then take out of molds, put the suckers in the wrappers and them tie off with twist ties. YUM!!
